Spain Intensive Voyage

Amazing architecture, fabulous food, wonderful wines and vibrant ports all await you on the glistening coastlines of the Iberian Peninsula.

Starting in Lisbon, Portugal, spend your first day of vacation taking in the sights, sounds, and flavors of the city on a sidecar tour or sampling the ports of the Douro Valley. From Portugal, we arrive in Seville for an immersive two-night stay where you’ll have plenty of time to discover the architectural wonders of this Gothic city. Visit the ornate Alcázar complex, tour the Seville Cathedral—the largest Gothic cathedral in the world and the final resting place of Christopher Columbus—and catch a flamenco performance with a side of tapas.

Then it’s on to the Mediterranean gateway of Gibraltar. With rich cultural history and stunning seaside views, it’s an eclectic blend of British, Spanish, and North African influences worth exploring. In Cartagena, meander along Calle Mayor and head to Castillo de la Concepción for fantastic views of the city. With a late stay in Valencia, you’ll have ample time to study the avant-garde buildings that coexist between the Gothic monuments and plazas. Wander the Calatrava-designed City of Arts & Sciences, dip your toes in the turquoise waters, and end your search for the perfect paella.

Your journey ends with yet another overnight stay, this time in Barcelona. Marvel at Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia, ramble down the always lively La Rambla and soak up every last bit of this magical region.
