Give your tastebuds a passport and try some local takoyaki, okonomiyaki, fugu, kushikatsu, or even some yakiniku in Osaka. Day by day itinerary

Day 1 to 4 — UK to Tokyo

After enjoying your complimentary airport lounge access, fly out to Tokyo arriving the next day, where an included shared transfer will see you to your hotel for a three night stay, the Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku.

Lights, sushi, manga! Sprawling, frenetic, and endlessly fascinating, Japan’s capital is a city of contrasts. Shrines and gardens are pockets of calm between famously crowded streets and soaring office buildings. Mom-and-pop noodle houses share street space with Western-style chain restaurants and exquisite fine dining. Shopping yields lovely folk arts as well as the newest electronics. And nightlife kicks off with karaoke or sake and continues with techno clubs and more. Whether you seek the traditional or the cutting edge, Tokyo will provide it.

Day 5 — Tokyo
Sensoji Temple, Tokyo, Japan

Sensoji Temple, Tokyo, Japan

After a morning exploring the city, take your private transfer to the port to embark the ship.

Day 6 — At Sea
Day 7 to 8 — Osaka
Osaka Castle, Osaka

Osaka Castle, Osaka

Osaka is a city that pulses with its own unique rhythm. Though Osaka has no shortage of tourist sites, it is the city itself that is the greatest attraction. Home to some of Japan's best food, most unique fashions, and warmest locals, Osaka does not beg to be explored—it demands it. More than anywhere else in Japan, it rewards the impulsive turn down an interesting side street or the chat with a random stranger.
Day 9 — Hososhima
With stunning countryside and quite indescribable vistas, Hososhima welcomes its visitors with jagged coastlines and traditional charms. Undoubtedly the most striking of these can be found at the Takachicho Gorge. A gentle drive with excellent views of active volcano Mount Aso takes you to the sheer cliffs, aquamarine waters and the thundering 56-foot waterfall of the gorge proper.  Further afield yet still less than five kilometres away from Hososhima lies Hyuga, a small town that boasts some of the most beautiful Mimitsu townhouses outside of Kyoto and Osaka.
Day 10 to 11 — At Sea
Day 12 to 13 — Tianjin (Beijing)

Beijing is a vibrant jumble of neighborhoods and districts. Day-to-day life seems to pulse the lifeblood of a Beijing that once was. Hidden behind Beijing's pressing search for modernity is an intriguing historic core. Many of the city's ancient sites were built under the Mongols during the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368). A number of the capital's imperial palaces, halls of power, mansions, and temples were rebuilt and refurbished during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Despite the ravages of time and the Cultural Revolution, most sites are in good shape, from the Niujie Mosque, with Koranic verse curled around its arches, to Tiananmen Square, the bold brainchild of Mao Zedong.

Debark the ship and take your private transfer to the Hilton Wangfujing Hotel for a two-night stay on a room only basis. Contact us for tailor-made tours and bespoke excursions.
