Isles of the Seychelles beckon daily with unspoiled sugar-white beaches, lush emerald mountains, UNESCO-protected wildlife reserves and crystalline waters; Crystal Esprit is ideally suited to explore this pristine archipelago. Enjoy a weeks yachting voyage followed by a weeks resort stay in Mahe.

Crystal Esprit, the elegantly appointed, 62-passenger yacht, features a shallow draft that allows it to visit secluded harbours, coves and islands that are simply not accessible to larger cruise ships. Itineraries, excursions and activities – all designed with the yacht’s size in mind – enable you to maximize your engagement with the destination in ways not previously possible aboard a ship.

Guests can swim, snorkel, paddle-board and kayak directly from the onboard marina and even explore below the waves by taking a trip in a state-of-the-art submersible.

“Small, intimate and elegant, with amazing service,” Crystal Esprit’s near-perfect score of 98.17 earned the all-suite yacht Travel + Leisure’s top spot in its annual 2017 World’s Best Awards.  Experience the "World’s Best Small-Ship Ocean Cruise Line" for yourself as she returns to the Indian Ocean and the breath-taking islands of the Seychelles in 2020.

Day by day itinerary

Day 1 — UK to Mahe

Fly direct to Mahe on an overnight flight on British Airways.

Day 2 — Mahé/Eden Island Marina, Seychelles

Upon arrival you will be met and transferred by private vehicle to the port to embark Crystal Esprit.

Here, in the Indian Ocean, where exotic trees edge beaches of fine white sand, is Mahé. Coconut plantations surround its majestic granite peaks rising to 3,000 feet. Mahé was uninhabited until the French arrived in 1768, and this culture remains despite over 180 years of British rule. The true magnificence of the Seychelles lies beyond city limits, as you explore these islands' stunning natural beauty.

Day 2 — St. Anne Island, Seychelles

Palm trees shade idyllic sandy beaches here, as cinnamon grows wild on verdant hillsides and sea turtles nose around their favorite nesting site. Once a commercial whaling outpost and later a World war II gun battery, St. Anne Island is today a place of peace and tranquility with abundant wildlife protected by the St. Anne Marine National Park.

Day 3 — Cousin Island, Seychelles

Cousin Island is a green ink-dot in the Indian Ocean. Here, birds rule the roost. Declared a special reserve in 1975, the island is the last holdout for the Seychelles warbler, a bird driven nearly to extinction - today they number some 3,000, a tribute to conservation. As you might expect from a haven for winged creatures, Cousin Island also is a paradise for nature-loving humans, with dense woodland, a rocky southern coast and sandy beaches encircling almost the entire isle.

Day 3 to 4 — Praslin, Seychelles

Praslin, the second largest island of Seychelles and arguably tops in attractions, features stunning beaches, azure seas, tangles of jungle and a trademark relaxed atmosphere. What makes Praslin unique is the Vallée de Mai, a protected forest of rare fauna, and most famously the coco de mer palm, a tree that produces the world’s largest seed and palm flower. The grove is one of Seychelles’ two UNESCO World Heritage Sites and has been aptly called the Garden of Eden.

Day 5 — La Passe, la Digue, Seychelles
Day 5 to 6 — Laraie Bay, Curieuse Island, Seychelles

Hundreds of giant hump-head parrotfish swim the harbor’s waters while beyond native coco de mer palms and low-slung branches of giant takamaka trees line sandy beaches. Curieuse Island is known for its giant tortoises, native to the Seychelles and once nearly extinct. Today, thanks to conservation efforts, tortoises roam freely in the lush forests.

Day 7 — Aride, Seychelles

As one of the most important seabird habitats in the Indian Ocean, if not the world, Aride is home to more breeding species than on any other island in Seychelles: 18 native birds, including five found only in the archipelago, reproduce on this tiny, eyelash of an isle. While its bird population is vast, Aride itself is petite, just a mile long and half a mile wide. Its human population is even smaller: only rangers, conservation officers and a few volunteers live here.

Day 7 — Cruise Big Sister Island, Seychelles

Situated east of the larger island of Praslin, the isles of Big Sister, Felicite and Marianne are petite gems in the string of 115 jewels that make up the Seychelles archipelago. Only a few of these Indian Ocean islands are inhabited, leaving a delicate (and gorgeous) ecosystem of tropical flora, time-worn rocks and pristine beaches largely undisturbed. Naturally, you will step ashore on some islands to explore their treasures; other times, you will sail past and amid these granitic outposts to take in the scenery from your Crystal yacht. Fix your eye and camera on the turquoise waters and lushly carpeted mountains of these splendid islands, ranked among the best in the world for diving, snorkeling, beach combing and simply leaving the rest of the world behind.

Day 8 — Mahe/Victoria, Seychelles

The capital city of Victoria lies on Mahé, the largest of the 115 Seychelles islands. These are the luxuriant garden jewels of the Indian Ocean where exotic trees edge beaches of fine white sand. Mahé is a mere 17 miles long and less than five miles wide. Coconut plantations surround its majestic granite peaks which rise to a height of 3,000 feet. Mahé was uninhabited until the French arrived in 1768, and today this culture remains predominant despite over 180 years of British rule. Although Victoria itself contains somewhat limited attractions, there is a certain quaint charm in the tin roofs and board verandas of its architecture. The true magnificence of the Seychelles lies beyond city limits, as you explore these islands' stunning natural beauty.

Day 8 to 9 — Mahé/Eden Island Marina, Seychelles

Debark on Saturday, and take your included private transfer to the Constance Ephelia Resort for a seven night stay on a half board basis.

Day 10 to 16 — Constance Ephelia Resort

Situated on two of the most beautiful beaches on the island of Mahé, overlooking the marine national park of Port Launay, Constance Ephelia enjoys a unique location set within 120 hectares of land with luxuriant and rare vegetation. Feast on delicious dishes and cocktails while marvelling at the deep blue of the Indian Ocean with a private dinner on the beach or in one of the restaurants.

Stay in a Junior Suite on a half-board basis.

Day 17 — Mahe to UK

Check out of teh hotel and take your included private transfer to the airport for your direct morning British Airways flight to the UK, arriving the same day.
