Uniworld’s newest Super Ship—S.S. Joie de Vivre—will bring the “joy of living” to the rivers of France
The S.S. Joie de Vivre, Uniworld’s newest masterpiece, is the first super ship built at 125 meters (as opposed to the standard 135 meters) permitting it to dock in the heart of Paris on the Seine River. Reflecting a profound appreciation for the joie de vivre French philosophy, the ship’s aesthetic encompasses inspiration from timeless French food, wine, art and music. Everything from the Joie de Vivre‘s décor and design, to its farm-to-table cuisine and local wine selection is on full display for guests to enjoy. French-inspired, handcrafted furniture adorns the vessel, complete with rich fabrics, antiques, art and gilded and wrought-iron accents, all blended in with modern-day conveniences.
S.S. Joie de Vivre has two Royal Suites, eight Junior Suites and 54 staterooms, all with made-to-order Savoir of England beds, high-thread count 100% Egyptian cotton sheets and European duvets, a menu of pillow options and marble-lined bathrooms stocked with L’Occitaine and Hermès bath and body products.
This meticulously designed ship features enticing public areas and luxurious amenities, including a beautiful lounge filled with art and antiques, multiple dining venues and bars, a well-equipped fitness centre and enclosed heated swimming pool, Serenity River Spa, and a Deck de Montmartre with a life-sized checkerboard and comfortable seating, ideal for relaxing and savoring in the ever-changing views.
The S.S. Joie de Vivre sails along the eight-day Paris & Normandy itinerary, as well as longer itineraries including: A Portrait of Majestic France, Grand France, Parisian Royal Holiday and Ultimate France. The ship also offers select departures within Uniworld’s Connoisseur Collection, as well as the company’s Multigenerational departures for families.
