Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady
Virgin Voyages has announced that its second ship will be called “Valiant Lady” and that it will sail 7-night Mediterranean cruises departing from Barcelona, Spain, when it launches in May 2021.
Valiant Lady itinerariesValiant Lady seven-night sailings start May 2021 and feature an overnight in Ibiza, home to some of the world’s best beach clubs, cultural experiences, restorative spas, yacht clubs and nightlife.
The ship will sail three different itineraries with what Virgin Voyages calls breathtaking ports of call.
- Itinerary One - Barcelona, Ibiza, Monte Carlo, Marseille and Olbia
- Itinerary Two - Barcelona, Ibiza, Toulon, Ajaccio, Marina di Carrara and Cagliari
- Itinerary Three - Barcelona, Ibiza, Palma de Mallorca, Malaga and Gibraltar
Itinerary One visits the breathtaking southern French port city of Marseille, before sailing to Monte Carlo in Monaco, at the base of the Maritime Alps for an overnight stay along the French Riviera. This itinerary visits the Sardinian island’s north eastern coastal city of Olbia, known for the medieval San Simplicio Basilica and its palm-lined waterfront. Valiant Lady then docks in Spain for another overnight in the beach club mecca of Ibiza before returning home to Barcelona, Spain.
Itinerary two is a fantastic sampling of the med with plans to visit Toulon on France’s coast before sailing to Italy’s Tuscan coastal town, Marina di Carrara, with a backdrop of dramatic white marked mountains, where what appears to be snow is actually some of the purest marble in the world. Next Valiant Lady visits Ajaccio, the capital of the French island of Corsica before a stop in the Italian island of Sardinia’s capital city of Cagliari, known for the hilltop Castello, a medieval walled quarter towering the island town. This journey ends with an overnight stay gracing the music laden sands of Ibiza before heading back to Barcelona.
The third itinerary sees Valiant Lady sampling a selection of Spanish delights sailing from Barcelona to the shores of Palma de Mallorca, the capital of the Spanish island of Mallorca. Sailors will then head for an overnight stay in the southern port city of Málaga, Spain and visit Gibraltar on the southernmost coast with a final overnight stay in Ibiza before returning home to Barcelona.

Food and Bars on Valiant Lady
With a total of 20+ food choices onboard the Valiant Lady, Virgin Voyages will bring city-like eating to sea and throw out the traditional cruise dining rule book, with no buffet, no main dining room, no forced formal wear, no assigned seating, no assigned dining times and enhanced the choice for sailors to grab a bite by keeping restaurant doors open until well into the night and in some cases the early hours of the morning.
Virgin Voyages does not believe in paying more for great food and ditched the traditional upcharges levied when dining in specialty restaurants at sea. Virgin Voyages has designed all eateries on board to offer exceptional made to order eats and opted to include all restaurant food in the voyage fare.
RockStar Suites on Valiant Lady
Virgin Voyages is throwing out traditional cliches on luxury and formalities, instead bringing Rebellious Luxe to life at sea with their RockStar Suites designed by Tom Dixon’s Design Research Studio as the pinnacle of that experience.
Highlights of the Massive Suite, the top suite aboard the Valiant Lady, include its very own guitar-clad music room, views of the ocean from every corner of the suite, and a massive terrace complete with its own Peek-a-View outdoor shower, hot tub, hammocks and a runway outdoor dining table, where a staircase will help Sailors make their way on top of the table for dancing.
Cabins on Valiant Lady
Swipe it. Dim it. Play it. Tap it. Order. Love it. Virgin don't want to encourage you to stay in bed all day, but with their killer app and tablet in every room on Valiant Lady, they've made it very tempting.
