Sun Boat IV

The largest of Santuary Retreats’ three Nile River cruisers, MS Sun Boat IV has 40 elegant and spacious cabins including two Royal Suites with private balconies and two Presidential Suites. Each cabin is fully air-conditioned with great river views plus a private bathroom, mini bar and LCD satellite TV. Cabins on the three upper decks all have floor-to-ceiling windows.

The ship was launched in 1996 and fully refurbished in 2006 in a contemporary style with art deco touches and soft, harmonious colours set off by teak flooring. The comfortable lounge bar and airy restaurant each have panoramic views, and outdoor areas include a large upper sun deck with heated plunge pool, plenty of sun beds and a shaded area used for barbecues and al fresco dining. A three- or four-night cruise down or up river between Luxor and Aswan combines luxury and comfort with some of the most memorable sights beyond the pyramids.
