Consistent with the rest of the vessel, the Metropolitan is splendidly decorated with refined elegance, complementing the delicious menu. The European style service is attentive without being intrusive.
RMS Olympic Restaurant
The Olympic is the most spectacular restaurant onboard the ship, spacious and extremely sophisticated with fine wood panelling round the walls. The master chefs of this restaurant offer passengers award-winning European cuisine.
The Ocean Grill is a casual dining option serving the succulent grilled classics at lunch and dinner, situated on the Resort Deck.
The Ocean Café serves dishes from all corners of the earth and is open for passengers to enjoy at their leisure.
This continental style café is a perfect place to relax any time of the day. Enjoy a speciality coffee with the baby grand piano playing in the background.
The fabulously decorated Fortunes Casino emulates the style of classic Monte Carlo and offers passengers the opportunity to try their luck at long-time favourites such as black-jack and roulette.
This is the perfect spot for relaxation or intellectual stimulation. Here passengers can enjoy Interactive Game Shows, as well as Informational Seminars and the Celebrity Discoveries Enrichment Series Lectures.
The grand theatre spans across three floors and comfortably accommodates guests for some fantastic evenings of live entertainment, be it singing, dancing or comedy. There is also a cocktail service available in the theatre, so guests can completely relax and enjoy the show.
Martini Bar and Michael's Club
These two onboard bars are polar opposites but equally popular. Michael's Club has a very traditional décor, with warm colours and furnishings and a cosy atmosphere, making it the perfect place to meet other passengers and talk long into the night. Martini Bar is a stylish and sophisticated cocktail bar that draws inspiration from the popular ice bars of Scandinavia.
Extreme Sports Bar
Situated on the Sunrise Deck at the top of the ship, this bar really isn't as intimidating as its name suggests. Not necessarily 'extreme', the large screens show all sports and major sporting events, so that passengers can keep up with their teams while at sea. The well stocked bar serves a selection of ice-cold beers and bar snacks.
The Platinum Club
The elegantly styled Platinum Club is an ideal place to meet for a glass of champagne or a martini before dinner.
In addition to the spa and sports facilities organised by the cruise line, there are on shore activities available for passengers to enjoy while at port. These are dependent upon the various destinations and can be arranged up to ten days prior to departure, or onboard the ship.
There is an emphasis on the Millennium Class ships upon the passengers' complete relaxation, so the vessels provide a variety of areas for passengers to enjoy their leisure, for as long or as little as they choose. A visit to the emporium of boutiques on the lower decks, combined with a midmorning coffee at Cova Café provides a charming continental pastime. The well-stocked library in the middle of the ship supplies books in a variety of languages and the card room is a great spot to meet new people over a game of bridge.
The Shipmates Fun Factory is a safe and fun place designed for the younger passengers to come and enjoy themselves.
A series of enrichment lectures are also given in the cinema/conference centre, given by speakers carefully selected for their expertise on topics designed to enhance knowledge and understanding of the regions visited.
