Tug Boat Collides With Cruise Liner

A tug boat packed with pleasure seeker collided with the Queen Elizabeth cruise liner during an open day in CentrePort, New Zealand over the weekend.

The port authority had begun an internal investigation to determine why the tug boat collided with the luxury Cunard liner and has taken the appropriate steps to notify the relevant organisations and authorities.

The incident, which occurred around 3pm local time on Saturday afternoon happened as the Toia tug boat was motoring up the port side of the Queen Elizabeth as the tug's funnel hit the cruise liner' docking platform, which was roughly 12 metres above the water line.

We are pleased to report that no-one aboard the tug boat was injured and will keep you updated with any future developments.
