Six Tall Ship Experiences by Star Clipper for 2013
Award winning tall-ship luxury cruise operator Star Clippers have compiled a list of their six favourite cruising experiences for the year, of which include an array of unique experiences aboard the majestic ocean-going tall ships.

Valentines Day in the Caribbean
Although the most romantic day of the year is just over a week away, Star Clipper suggest you enjoy an idyllic Caribbean voyage aboard the world's largest full-rigged sailing ship; Royal Clipper. Valentines day will be spent in Martinique as part of the 7 day Grenadines voyage; meanwhile guests will also be able to experience the uninhabited islands of the Tobago Cays. The voyage departs from Barbados on February 9.
Transiting the Panama Canal
Simply nothing can beat the once-in-a-lifetime experience of transiting the fifty-mile long Panama Canal linking the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. The 170-passenger Star Flyer will be sailing on this unique voyage from Panama to St Maarten departing on March 30.
Learn to sketch and paint at sea
Led by British artist Richard Nichols, guests will have the unique opportunity to learn how to create the perfect seascapes and costal scenes aboard Star Clipper as she sails along the idyllic French Riviera on a seven-night voyage, departing from Nice on April 27.
Join Hamburg's Tall Ship Parade
Between May 9 and 12, Hamburg plays host to the world's largest sailing festival, where over 1.5 million visitors flock to the eight-hundred year old port to view the magnificent Tall Ships Parade. For all three days of the event, Star Flyer will be in Hamburg for the event, offering her guests an unforgettable view of the popular event.
Experience White Nights in St Petersburg
Summer in the Baltic means long, light evenings and the possibility to watch the sun set each evening at almost midnight. St Petersburg plays host to the annual White Night Festival between June 11 and July 2, where a number of special events occur throughout the historical and cultural city. Star Flyer will be spending overnight stays in the city during her Baltic season from June 4th.
Sailing the coast of Costa Rica at Christmastime
Imagine spending Christmas Day with scarlet macaws soaring over the forest canopy before enjoying a traditional Christmas lunch in the bay of Golfito aboard the majestic tall ship, Star Flyer. This magnificent vessel will be spending the most festive time of year sailing the coastline of Costa Rica, stopping at uninhabited islands and bustling ports along the way. The seven-night sailing departs on December 22.
