Silversea new website

Silversea has revamped its website! Gone is the all white rather minimal look and it has been replaced with flashy animations and dreamy images of seascapes and ships, taken by photographer Dana Neibert.

The new site is very swish - search for a cruise itinerary and you get a lovely animated map showing your cruise as if the ship was sailing it - perfect for the geographically challenged! You also get tabs with all the information you could need - prices, tours, guest speakers and pre and post cruise programmes.

The Port search is a nice feature too, not only does the site give you lots of port/destination information (provided by Fodors Travel) - you can then click thru to a list of all the voyages that call at that port! Very handy indeed

The new interactive deck plans, suite panoramas and diagrams are a great enhancement and panoramas of all the public rooms too are a bonus. Downloadable PDF’s of the deck plans are also handy for printing off and taking with you onboard or for showing friends and family.

The Prince Albert II opens into a mini site of its own - providing a myriad of information and tempting photography about their soft expedition ship.

All in all a very good re-launch and the new site has so much more information on it than the old.

Do you like to use cruise line websites or do you prefer a traditional brochure? Or do you use a combination of them both? Do you find them easy to use or confusing? Let us know!
