Silversea Cruises name ship Silver Galapagos
Silversea have just announced the name of their new expedition ship - she will be christened Silver Galapagos.
Sailing the waters and islands of the Galapagos, the 100 passenger Silver Galapagos will sail two seven-day itineraries from Baltra Island. On board will be expedition guides, certified by the Galapagos National Park Service, who will escort the guests on the complimentary shore excursions.
The ship is currently sailing as the Galapagos Explorer II, and will undergo a refurbishment next year before emerging as Silver Galapagos in September 2013.
The 4,077-ton ship offers the stylish elegance of a mega-yacht, attentive onboard service and an enriching naturalist education programme. All of its 50 spacious suites feature ocean views and 24 include private balconies. Public spaces include a restaurant, piano bar, library and Internet station, main lounge, outdoor bar, two outdoor whirlpools, and a marine observation deck.
Bookings open in November 2012.
