Luxury cruise line Silversea Cruises has launched a “Flavours of the Mediterranean” epicurean program on its 24th May sailing onboard Silver Whisper.
Silversea’s guests can attend lectures, visit wineries, and even visit a local food market with the ship’s chef. The culinary cruise will be hosted by Rudi Scholdis, Silversea’s Director of Culinary Development. Belgium-born Scholdis spent five years working in top London hotels, culminating with the Dorchester. Scholdis has worked alongside some of the world’s leading chefs, from Alain Ducasse to Charlie Trotter, and has catered for royalty and heads of state including the royal family in the UK and Bill Clinton.
Joining Rudi will be Silversea’s culinary trainer and program leader for L’École des Chefs - David Bilsland; Richard Weichbold, the corporate chef for Silversea; Alberto Colombo, Silversea’s corporate Italian chef; Alex Hekimov, the corporate pastry chef for Silversea; and Lyn Farmer, the wine consultant for Silversea.
