Seven Holland America ships to sail in Alaska in 2014
Premium cruise operator Holland America Line are to base seven ships in Alaska for the 2014 cruise season.
The 1,916-passenger Oosterdam and the 1,260 Statendam will sail on a series of 7-day "Glacier Discovery" voyages between Vancouver and Seward, increasing guest capacity on the popular itinerary. The two ships will also sail on select 7-day voyages through the Inside Passage along with the Volendam, Zaandam and Zuiderdam.
Also new for 2013, the Amsterdam will sail on 14-day voyages that include visits to both the Hubbard Glacier and Tracy Arm Fjord. Meanwhile, the 1,916-passenger Westerdam will sail on seven-day "Alaskan Explorer" voyages round-trip from Seattle, which will include calls to Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan and Victoria.
