Scenic Partners With National Geographic on Eight River Cruises

Scenic Luxury River Cruises has announced a partnership with National Geographic Expeditions. Each of the eight new sailings on Scenic’s fleet of 5* river ships will be accompanied by a National Geographic expert to enrich the journey through educational presentations and informal discussions.

Guests will have a choice of hand crafted, all-inclusive sightseeing and activities ranging from hikes and bikes to in-depth learning experiences that focus on the natural world, culture and history. European cruises will also have a National Geographic photographer on board to share professional techniques.

You’ll enjoy all of the comfort and amenities you expect from Scenic, along with the insights of National Geographic’s experts, the powerful perspective of their world-renowned photographers, and inspiring new excursions on every voyage. You can view the great waterways of Europe and Asia through the eyes of their experts and photographers, and enjoy on board lectures and unique National Geographic-inspired excursions throughout each voyage.

Enjoy exclusive access to Vienna’s Natural History Museum, visit a historic fossil site in Germany, or meet conservationists and monks in Myanmar. No matter the journey you choose, you’ll be immersed in splendid landscapes, delve deeper at celebrated sites and share in local traditions.

Setting out in 2018 and 2019, each of the eight new river cruise packages will explore Europe’s great waterways and one of Asia’s most vital rivers, the Irrawaddy.

In Europe travellers will sail on the Rhine, Danube, Main and Moselle Rivers; in Holland and Belgium; through France’s Bordeaux region and Portugal’s Douro Valley. Alternatively in Myanmar, the Irrawaddy river cruise takes guests past ancient stupas, historical sites and ever-changing landscapes.Scenic River Cruises and National Geographic
