Royal Caribbean expands culinary partnership
Mainstream cruise operator Royal Caribbean International recently announced the expansion of its partnership with the James Beard award-winning chef Michael Schwartz. The expansion of the cruise lines partnership with the acclaimed chef is set to include the development of seasonal tasting menus at the 150 Central Park restaurants aboard Allure of the Seas.
Michael Schwartz is known for his commitment to cooking sustainably at his flagship "Michael's Genuine Food & Drink" restaurant in Miami, Florida. Schwartz is set to continue helping Royal Caribbean International by selecting and using fresh and high quality ingredients from local farmers and other suppliers who are based in Southern Florida.
Introduced aboard Oasis of the Seas in 2009, 150 Central Park is the centrepiece of the Central Park neighbourhood aboard one of the world's largest cruise ships. Guests dining at the restaurant can look forward to enjoying a seasonal tasting menu and customised wine parings that contribute to delivering an upscale dining experience similar to that found at the top restaurants ashore.
