Paul Gauguin to offer free Cousteau Program for Youths
Paul Gauguin Cruises are to offer Jean-Michel Cousteau's "Ambassadors of the Environment" youth program on a complimentary basis during select voyages this summer, saving over $299 per child.
Cousteau, an award-winning oceanographer and environmentalist created the program in association with the Ocean Futures Society in order to introduce young travellers to the natural wonders of French Polynesia through a series of hands-on-learning experiences. Open to youths aged nine to seventeen, the program allows participants to explore coral reefs, hike rainforest trails, experience the local culture and visit historic places of interest.
The program is to be offered on a complimentary basis on the following voyages, as long as they are confirmed before April 30, 2013:
- 7-night "Tahiti and the Society Islands" - departing on the 1st and 8th of June, 6th, 13th and 27th of July and the 3rd and 10th of August.
- 11-night "Cook Islands and Society Islands" departure on June 15.
