Nile Wonders river cruise review on Blue Shadow

I found your company very professional and well organized. The questions I had were always answered. What made our holiday amazing however were your agents on the ground. They were always there on time, nothing was too difficult for them and they went out of their way to help. There was some mix up with the cruise ship we were supposed to be on, but the way they fixed it made it totally irrelevant and in fact I am sure we ended up being better off. The cruise ship itself was great and the staff went out of their way to make our holiday memorable. I don't know what happened with the other ship but I would say only use the Blue Shadow going forward.

Flights and transfers (10 out of 10)

We organized our own international flights and you organized the internal flights. The flights were fine the transfers superb, everyone was friendly and really helpful

Embarkation (10 out of 10)

We were the only people on board so unsurprisingly it was easy

Cabins/Suites (10 out of 10)

We were upgraded to a suite which was large. The staff were great and as I mentioned before we had no complaints

Food and dining (7 out of 10)

The food was good although the menu was fairly limited. However the food was good but I think some people may find it limiting

Public Rooms (9 out of 10)

They were fine

Onboard Service (10 out of 10)

If you had 11 I would have given them this. They are obviously new to the game and are still learning. But what they lose on experience they make up 3fold in willingness to try

Itinerary and ports of call (8 out of 10)

It is a fairly standard itinerary. The stay at Mena house was memorable although I would say it does feel like they are battling to stay afloat with the lack of tourists. There is a lot of small maintenance that they aren't doing. However the position makes up for it

Shore Excursion (10 out of 10)

We always had a private your guide. Ahmed in Cairo was good and knew his stuff. It did take awhile to get used to his accent. The other Ahmed on the cruise ship was simply brilliant.
