Mr Gatenby Silver Spirit April 2013
- Name : Mr and Mrs Gatenby
- Ship: Silver Spirit
- Month / Year of Travel: April 2013
- Area of World: Monte Carlo round trip
- Cruise Line: Silversea
Embarkation: Very smooth, took only a few minutes, staff very polite.
Suites: The suite was fabulous. Great size with plenty of draws and closet space. Large balcony and good choice of toiletries. Good size bathroom, lovely shower. Excellent butler and assistant.
Food and Dining: Main dining room service was a little rushed on 1st night but food very good. Stars Supper Club was one of the best meals I've ever had on a ship! La Terazza had an excellent menu, relaxed atmosphere and plenty of time between courses, which we prefer.
Entertainment: We were surprised at 3 consecutive shows, we saw 2 of them which were very good. Pianist in The Bar and Panorama Lounge were very good.
Public Rooms: Immaculate public areas. Very good quality furniture and fittings around the ship. Good variety of modern and traditional art.
On-board Service: Nothing was too much trouble, Seemed genuinely happy to provide an excellent service, particularly good to see this on such a short cruise as we thought we may see a reduced standard.
Itinerary and ports of call: Enjoyed the tenders, these were well run and no delays. We enjoyed all 3 ports very much.
My service: Very pleased with all aspects of the service Cathy Chesman provided. Particularly impressed with the information about when the tickets were due, felt like an individual, not a number. Thank you.
