Meet Cruise Director Tony from Azamara Club Cruises
Originally from London, Tony now lives in the bustling city of Newcastle, in the north-east of England. Tony has had a varied career since starting as a medical research scientist and having four scientific papers published before becoming a qualified Pharmacologist. In 1983, things were about to dramatically change when he starred in the "Song for Europe Contest" on the BBC.
After this change of career, Tony trained under Trinity College in London before attending the famous Sylvia Young Theatre School, where he honed his art subsequently starred in many shows, including Godspell, Gilbert and Sullivan and the Rocky Horror Show.
After getting married in Sydney, Australia, Tony decided to set up his own touring theatre company in addition to being a highly regarded Vocal Coach and Performing Arts teacher. He is proud to have been the singing voice in the popular "My Little Pony" advert. Tony then went back to university to study Law before graduating in Science and Education, from where he progressed to teach Science to high school students. During all of this, Tony continued to tour the world in his spare time for a variety of hotel chains and cruise operators including P&O Cruises, Cunard and Seabourn, where he was involved in the infamous "Pirate Incident!"
Tony is delighted to now be a cruise director for Azamara Club Cruises and during his spare time, he continues to persevere with his love for the arts.
