Luxury Barge Cruises through Champagne in France
European Waterways are proud to announce a series of luxury barge cruises within the Champagne region of France.
Stretching from the city of Epernay, home of Moët et Chandon and Mercier; and along the beautiful River Marne to Meaux, the Champagne region encompasses a substantial part of the north-east of France. Here you will find vineyards spread across the rolling plains as far as the eye can see and the region is rich in both modern and ancient history. Not only is the region famous for its champagne, the towns of Meaux and Coulommiers are renowned for their dairy produce.
During the voyage through the Champagne you will visit famous landmark including the Château Thierry and the Cathedral of Reims. There will always be ample opportunities during the voyage to sample the pristine wines, including a private tasting at the Moët et Chandon cellars.
