Lalique Crystal to feature on Silver Shadow and Silver Moon

Silversea Cruises have announced a new partnership with lifestyle brand Lalique. Founded in 1888, Lalique is celebrated for its exquisite jewellery, decorative glass items, interior design, perfumes, and artworks.

Lalique will produce decorative crystal artworks to enhance the La Dame restaurants aboard Silver Shadow and the still-under-construction Silver Moon luxury cruise ships, and will be installed in November 2019 and  August 2020 respectively.  Silversea’s La Dame restaurants serve French gourmet cuisine in an elegant, refined setting, which will perfectly match Lalique’s world-famous artistry.

Several handmade, entirely bespoke, Lalique crystal panels will be installed on both ships, with each panel taking approximately three months to craft. Positioned at the restaurants’ entrances and along their walls, the hand-crafted panels will incorporate two main motifs. One is the 'Masque de Femme', a design which reveals the face of a nymph with delicate features, surrounded by aquatic life, whilst the other is called 'Coutard' featuring a geometric pattern representing a spray of delicate water droplets and evoking the appearance of waves in the ocean.

During Silver Shadow’s extensive refurbishment in November 2019, La Dame will be remodelled and expanded to accommodate up to 40 diners, ensuring that all guests have the opportunity to experience the venue’s exceptional dining experience.

Aboard Silver Moon, La Dame will be positioned on deck 8 and will greatly increase in size compared to Silver Muse’s La Dame, welcoming almost triple the number of guests.

When Silver Moon launches, she will maintain the small-ship intimacy and spacious all-suite accommodations that are the hallmarks of the Silversea experience. Silver Moon will unlock travel experiences for guests as they enjoy Silversea’s industry-leading service. A pioneering new culinary program called S.A.L.T. (Sea and Land Taste) will enable Silversea's guests to enjoy immersive culinary experiences both on board and ashore. Enhancing the experience will be such all-inclusive amenities as complimentary wines, champagne and spirits; specialty coffees, bottled water, juices and soft drinks served throughout the ship; an in-suite bar, stocked with guests' preferences; in-suite 24-hour dining; and unlimited, complimentary Wi-Fi.
