Its a Suite life on Silversea

When cruising on a luxury cruise ship, your accommodation is a vital part of your holiday. Many people like to take breakfast in their suite or choose in-suite dining in the evenings, and even host small parties in the larger suites .

When Silversea first launched the Silver Cloud, the ships featured lead-in suites called Vista Suites. These proved so popular they have been replicated on the other ships in the fleet.

The Vista Suites are 240 sq ft / 22 sq metres and feature:-

  • Large picture window providing panoramic ocean views
  • Sitting area
  • Twin beds or queen-sized bed
  • Marbled bathroom with full-sized bath
  • Walk-in wardrobe with personal safe
  • Vanity table with hair dryer
  • Writing desk
  • Flat screen television with DVD and satellite reception
  • CD player
  • Radio/Alarm with iPod docking station
  • Direct-dial telephone

Silver Cloud Veranda Suite

The Veranda Suites feature, unsurprisingly, a balcony and are slightly larger at 295 sq ft / 27 sq meters, including a veranda at 49 sq ft / 4.5 sq metres. They are the same layout and design as the Vista Suites, with the same features, but have the added Verandah with teak furniture and floor- to ceiling glass doors.

The next size up in the suite stakes are the Silver Suites. These have proved so popular that on the new ships built by Silversea they have even more of them!

Silver Suite Silver Cloud

The Silver Suites are all positioned mid-ships, have larger verandas and can accommodate three guests. Larger at 541 sq ft / 50 sq metres with a veranda measuring 92 sq ft / 8 square metres. The Silver Suites feature

  • Teak veranda with patio furniture and floor-to-ceiling glass doors
  • Living room (with convertible sofa to accommodate an additional guest)
  • Sitting area
  • Separate dining area
  • Twin beds or queen-sized bed
  • Marbled bathroom with full-sized bath
  • Walk-in wardrobe with personal safe
  • Vanity table with hair dryer
  • Writing desk
  • Flat screen television with DVD and satellite reception
  • Bang & Olufsen audio system
  • Radio/Alarm with iPod docking station
  • Direct-dial telephone

These three suite styles are the most numerous on board the fleet of ships - sister ships Silver Cloud & Silver Wind, sister ships Silver Shadow & Silver Whisper, and new ship Silver Spirit.

Silver Spirit

The newest vessel in the Silversea family, Silver Spirit offers the lifestyle Silversea guests adore, plus new enhancements including Stars Supper Club, an Asian-themed restaurant, an expansive 8,300-square-foot spa, a resort-style pool, four whirlpools, and the largest suites in the Silversea fleet - 95% with private verandas.

The Vista Suites on Silver Spirit are really very spacious at 312 sq ft / 29 sq metres, and the Veranda Suites are larger too at 376 sq ft / 35 sq metres with the balcony at 65 sq ft / 6 sq metres.

Silver Spirit Veranda Suite

Veranda Suites on Silver Sprit feature:-

  • Writing desk
