Holland America to return to Australia and New Zealand
Premium cruise operator Holland America Line have recently announced their return to Australia and New Zealand for the 2013-14 cruising season.
The luxurious Oosterdam and Volendam will sail on a series of ten and fourteen-day voyages round-trip from Sydney, Australia, or between Sydney and Auckland, New Zealand between October 2013 and March 2014.
The Oosterdam will sail on four, fourteen-day voyages between Auckland and Sydney on October 27, November 10, February 2 and February 16, which will include calls to Melbourne, Hobart, Wellington, Gisborne, Christchurch and the Fiordland National Park. In addition, the vessel will also sail on three round-trip "New Zealand Discovery" voyages from Sydney, departing on December 8, January 19 and March 16. During the fourteen-day voyage the ship will visit Auckland, Christchurch, Akaroa, Milford Sound and the Bay of Islands. Finally, the Oosterdam will also sail on a two-week "Pacific Treasures" voyage from Sydney on November 24, December 22, January 5, March 2 and March 30, which will include call to the lesser-known ports in the South Pacific.
The Volendam will offer a 34-day circumnavigation of Australia from Sydney on October 20. The voyage will visit more than twenty fascinating ports of call including scenic cruising in the remote Ribbon Reef, Far North Regions and the Great Barrier Reef. Additionally, she will operate a 19-day voyage from Melbourne to Singapore on November 20. The cruise includes two days of scenic cruising in the Great Barrier Reef and calls to Sydney, Hamilton Island, Cairns, Darwin, Bali and Komodo Island.
The above are just a handful of the exciting itinearies which Holland America will offer in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. Additional voyages include Trans-Pacific crossings from Los Angeles, Seattle and Vancouver, and extended pre and post-cruise tours.
