Exquisite Lands & Idyllic Shores cruise review on Seven Seas Voyager
As ever, Janet Welsh provides a first-class service with the greatest attention to every detail, nothing is ever too much trouble and her communication is excellent.
Flights and transfers (10 out of 10)
Qatar Airways were extremely good and their Business Class accommodation was well-presented and spacious. Transfers worked well.
Embarkation (8 out of 10)
Small queueing, inevitable when 3 coaches arrive together!
Cabins/Suites (9 out of 10)
We have occupied 950 before; we like the position and as ever it was looked after by our steward and stewardess with care and they were charming.
Food and dining (9 out of 10)
The food was of a very good standard, we enjoy Compass Rose and the speciality restaurants which were particularly enjoyed; the food in La Veranda can be a little predictable at times.
Public Rooms (8 out of 10)
The ship is ready for a refit!
Onboard Service (7 out of 10)
The Filipino and Indian staff were welcoming and as genial as we have found them to be on our previous cruises with Regent; during the first 2-3 days the 'other' staff were down in the mouth, at times off-hand and not reacting to the guests in the Regent style. We were by no means the only guests to witness this and when completing the first feed-back proforma accordingly, there followed a considerable uplift in these staffs' reaction to the guests - thank goodness.
Itinerary and ports of call (8 out of 10)
Phuket and Langawi were spectacular, otherwise non to write home about particularly; Sebang was a huge disappointment and expensive as an Indonesian visa was required.
Shore Excursion (8 out of 10)
Not so many 'free' excursions on this cruise. Tour operators were variable, sometimes their English could do with further experience/practise.
