European Waterways to offer UK cruise excursions
European Waterways are to offer an array of exciting and culturally-rich excursions on it luxury hotel barge vessels within England and Scotland for the 2013 season.
The operator are also to introduce newly-added tours, including visits to Highclere Castle, the location for the popular television drama "Downton Abbey" and voyages through some of Scotland's most picturesque lochs. All locations can be reached by road or rail links, therefore there is no need to fly.

Down the Thames to "Downton Abbey"
Meander down the famous River Thames between Hampton Court Palace and Henley-on-Thames aboard the luxurious Magna Carta and on select departures, visit Highclere Castle, the setting for "Downton Abbey". The itinerary also features a private tour of Dorney Court and a tour of Christ Church, one of the most prestigious colleges at Oxford Univerity.
The Scottish Highlands - Land of Legend and Conflict
The Scottish Highlander will be cruising along the Caledonian Canal and through varied lochs along the Great Glen, on a voyage allowing guests to traverse through Scotland's medieval wonders, beautiful scenery and rich history. Highlights include a tour of Fort Augustus, gateway to the famous Loch Ness and a visit to Eilean Donan Castle, the setting for the film "Highlander".
