Do you get off in every port?

When you book a cruise are you looking at how may ports of call you can squeeze into your cruise - or do you prefer the days at sea? Many experienced cruisers like to choose a cruise that has many sea days, like repositioning cruises or transatlantic & transpacific voyages. I was recently on a Silversea ship and a number of their guests did not get off in port - they would rather stay onboard and enjoy a near empty ship. It does have its benefits - whilst every one else if off discovering the delights of that port, you can swan around the ship like its your own, take advantage of discounted spa treatments and receive even better service than normal!

Do you like to stay onboard when in port? What are the advantages that you enjoy?
