Cunard announces 2014 itineraries

The most famous cruise line in the world, Cunard have released details regarding their itineraries for 2014, which I set to feature an increased presence in the Mediterranean and special events to mark the 10th birthday of the line's flagship; Queen Mary 2.

Between June and December 2014, Queen Elizabeth will offer a selection of 7, 14 and 21 day voyages in the Mediterranean between Venice, Rome and Athens. This will allow guests to experience more destinations than in previous years, when she sailed roundtrip from Southampton.

The flagship Queen Mary 2 will make a total of 18 transatlantic crossings between Southampton and New York in 2014, where two sailings will visit Halifax- the birthplace of Samuel Cunard and original port of call on the east coast. In addition, the transatlantic liner will sail on two "Birthday Crossing" to celebrate the ship's 10th anniversary. These will be the May 9 voyage from Southampton to New York and the May 16 voyage from New York to Southampton.

Based in Southampton for the summer season, Queen Victoria will sail on a variety of itineraries to the Norwegian Fjords, the Baltic and Iceland, in addition to sailings to the Black Sea and the Atlantic Isles.
