Crystal to add religious shore excursions in Europe
Ultra luxury cruise operator Crystal Cruises are to offer new religious shore excursions in Europe this year.
With the addition of the new religious excursions, the luxury operator now offer more than twenty Crystal Adventures that feature private, after-hours access to centuries-old houses of worship, Jewish heritage tours, and pilgrimage destinations in Spain, Italy, Turkey and France, amongst other destinatons, most of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Exclusive options include touring St. Mark's Basillica in Venice at night, exploring the Vatican Museum after hours and attending a private Mass at Barcelona's La Sagrada Familia. Other excursions include access to Istanbul's Hagia Sophia church-turned-mosque and a half-day tour to Gaudi's Church on the outskirts of Barcelona.
In addition, Jewish heritage excursions explore how Copenhagen's underground resistance movement helped many to survive the Holocaust, a visit to Anne Frank's house and tours of synagogues in Stockholm, Rome and in St. Petersburg.
