Crystal River Cruises cuts steel on new river yachts
Crystal River Cruises yesterday celebrated the cutting of the first piece of steel of their new luxury river cruise yachts Crystal Debussy and Crystal Ravel, and are scheduled to make their first cruises in spring 2018, sailing along the Rhine, Danube, Main and the Moselle rivers.
Both new ships will measure 135 metres long and 11 metres wide, and are specially designed for the European luxury river cruise market. They will accommodate up to 106 guests, looked after by 68 crew, along with Crystals famous butler service for every suite. The ships will also feature multiple eateries and a swimming pool, and will be Europe's only all-balcony, all-suite river ships.
The two new luxury river ships are being constructed at at MV WERFTEN’s Wismar site, and the steel cutting ceremony was attended by Genting Group Executive Chairman Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern's Economics Minister Harry Glawe and numerous other guests.
