Crystal Cruises Win Worlds Best for 2011
Crystal Cruises have once again been named "Best Cruise Line" (Mid-Sized) for 2011 in the Condé Nast Traveler magazine readers choice awards.
Crystal Cruises were also rated higher than any cruise line, large or small. The luxury cruise line's incredible score of 93, (its highest in years), marks the 18th time the company has won this category, which is more than any other cruise line, or indeed hotel or resort, in the magazine's history.
The Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards are considered one of the highest honours in hospitality and celebrate the best-of-the-best cruise lines, hotels, airlines, cities, and islands.
More than 28,800 readers voted this year and evaluated cruise lines' based on the following categories:-
- Activities & Facilities
- Crew & Service
- Design & Layout
- Food & Dining
- Shore Excursions
Other accolades Crystal Cruises have won this year include:-
- World's Best Large-Ship Cruise Line by Travel + Leisure (U.S.)
- Number 1 Foreign Cruise Line by Japan's Cruise magazine
- Three Travel Weekly Magellan Awards for the $25 million redesign of Crystal Serenity.
Innovations implemented by Crystal Cruises include their "Perfect Choice Dining" with flexible, open seating by reservation, and, starting in spring 2012, "All Inclusive" enhancements, with complimentary fine wines and premium spirits throughout the ship, open bar service in all lounges, and pre-paid gratuities for housekeeping, bar and dining staff-even in Nobu Matsuhisa and Piero Selvaggio's onboard specialty restaurants.
