Crystal Cruises to go all Inclusive

Crystal Cruises have just announced that they will now be offering an all-inclusive cruise product starting in 2012. This is fantastic news and comes on the back of their Perfect Choice dining developments announced for 2011.

They are currently the only luxury cruise operator to offer a main and late sitting for dinner, plus an open sitting option for those guests that prefer the flexibility of dining at different times each night.

Now for 2012 to go all-inclusive is the next logical step for Crystal Cruises and I for one think it is an excellent move - and a move in the right direction too. They will have a unique product in the luxury cruise marketplace by offering larger ships that are exceptionally spacious, that have many public rooms and are able to offer a wide variety of onboard enrichment, plus alternative dining options including the quite amazing Nobu restaurant "Silk Road". Silk Road is a must-do restaurant onboard both the Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity serving out-of-this-world Japanese fusion food that has to be sampled to be believed, overseen by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa.

Your Crystal Crusies fare will now include free fine wines and premium spirits in all restaurants, open bar service in all lounges and pre-paid gratuities for housekeeping, bar and dining staff. The complimentary gratuity amenity includes butler service and service in all of Crystal’s fine specialty restaurants and sushi bar.

Do you think it’s a good idea? Maybe you have cruised on other all-inclusive luxury cruise lines such as Seabourn, Silversea and Regent Seven Seas Cruises, but held back booking Crystal due to them not being all-inclusive - what are your thoughts now?
