Crystal Cruises NEW Shore Ex for Alaska 2011
Crystal Cruises is sailing back to Alaska for the first time since 2005, and to mark the occasion they have launched a range of new excursions that take in air, sea, and ice, with over 100 brand new Crystal Adventures.
Guests can explore by safari boat, private catamaran, white-water raft, canoe, kayak, or WWII duck vehicle. They can enjoy the landscapes and wildlife by seaplane or helicopter, or enjoy land-based adventures in a horse-drawn trolley, ATV, jeep, sled, motorcycle, old-fashioned rail carriage, private Hummer, or a 4x4.
A new "You Care, We Care" excursion in Sitka enables guests to assist with the operation/maintenance of a salmon hatchery or marine-life exhibits.
Extreme adventure lovers can rock-climb, fly-fish, or zip line over rainforest canopies. Keen photographers can enjoy custom photography excursions, whilst families can pan for gold and create 24K gold glass-blown art.
History buffs will love visiting bordellos and watching shoot-outs, view native traditions, and discover Alaska's Russian past.
Crystal Symphony will make nine 12-day sailings round-trip from San Francisco from May through August to Victoria, Vancouver, Sitka, Juneau, Skagway/Haines, Ketchikan and either Hubbard Glacier or Glacier Bay.
