Crystal Cruises introduce Chinese comfort food
Crystal Cruises is launching a new selection of Chinese comfort food onboard Crystal Serenity as she sails on her 2012 World Cruise. In development for 18 months, the food and beverage team at Crystal Cruises explored Asia, researching chefs, ingredients, cooking techniques, utensils and more in order to re-create the new menu of Chinese comfort food.
This new dining option will be featured at the ships Tastes café, as a casual dinner option. Sample dishes include:-
- Steamed Shrimp and Pork Shiaomai
- Steamed Mushroom Vegetarian Dumpling
- Fried rice
- Singapore-style Stir-Fried Noodles
The new menu is being over seen by Malaysian chef Jennifer Pei Vun Lee, and will compliment Crystal's upscale Nobu specialty restaurant.
Extraordinary culinary experiences are a signature onboard Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity. Choices include the ultra-luxury line's coveted cheese and wine cellars, overseen by on-board, certified cheese and wine sommeliers; fresh cocktails served by certified mixologists; and gourmet dining options at every meal, whether in the Crystal Dining Room, at afternoon tea or in specialty restaurants Prego or Nobu Matsuhisa's Silk Road and Sushi Bar.
