Crystal Cruises Expands Children Activities Programme
Children sailing on board Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony this summer with Crystal Cruises will enjoy an expanded programme of events and activities. Due to the increase in family cruising, with grandparents, parents and children all traveling together, Crystal Cruises has designed a programme to extend the hours and activities in is Junior Activities Programme. Exciting new events will include dressing up in traditional Russian costumes for photographs as the ship makes its way to St. Petersburg, as well as allowing the children to design their own Sistine Chapel when the ship sails to Italy, all designed to compliment the ships destinations.
Both Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony have purpose-designed areas for the children’s programme – called Waves and Fantasia, split for different age groups. There can be up to ten Activities Directors on each sailing, depending on the number of children sailing on that voyage.
The expanded programming includes longer hours, with even more games and events on port days, and on sea days the children can enjoy educational courses and fun evenings.
Childrens events also are based around the cruise destination – for example they may learn French phrases from the onboard Berlitz language instructor on a voyage that calls into Monaco, of participate in a scavenger hunt around Stockholm to promote fun facts about the port city. For the teens, special guest DJ’s will create destination-themed parties.
The childrens events are located in ‘behind the scenes’ areas far away from the rest of the guests, and of course are fully supervised at all times. Also available are special childrens menus, free ice cream and babysitting services.
Prices are from £2,459 pp for a seven-night sailing from Copenhagen to Stockholm that leaves on 5th August, including return flights, transfers, accommodation in a deluxe stateroom with picture window, all meals and soft drinks, basic gratuities & port taxes.
Guests will also receive an onboard ship credit of $500 per person ($1000 per suite) to spend onboard.
