Celebrity Constellation receives Solstice class features
Premium cruise operator Celebrity Cruises are currently renovating the mid-sized Celebrity Constellation and are adding more Solstice class-inspired features including AquaClass staterooms and the Mediterranean-themed Blu restaurant.
In 2010, Celebrity Constellation was the first of the four Millennium-class vessels to be refurbished as part of the $140 million "Solsticizing" program. At that time, the ship received the Tuscan Grille speciality restaurant in addition to new staterooms, renovated bathrooms and refreshed public spaces. Based on past-passenger feedback, Celebrity added more Solstice-class features to the other Millennium-class ship during their renovations. Now the Constellation will receive these.
When she re-enters service on May 5, the ship will have 107 AquaClass staterooms, giving guests booked in this category exclusive access to the Blu speciality restaurant and complimentary admission to the Persian Garden and the ship's Relaxation Room. The ship will gain an additional 17 ocean-view and 12 inside staterooms. Other additions to the Celebrity Constellation include Wi-Fi connectivity throughout, a Celebrity iLounge that will feature an Apple store, a meeting and conference space and other refreshed and upgraded amenities.
