AmaWaterways to feature two new ships
AMAWATERWAYS has announced it will be launching two new river cruise ships in 2011
AmaLotus will join the line's first Mekong vessel, La Marguerite, in September 2011. Both ships will be sailing a "Vietnam, Cambodia and the Riches of the Mekong" itinerary.
The AmaLotus will feature a colonial decor along with local artefacts. The ship features all-outside accommodation, with 90% of staterooms including a private outside balcony. The ship's restaurant will serve Asian and Western food, with an authentic Vietnamese hot pot dining facility. There will also be a lounge, spa, fitness room, sauna, sun deck and outdoor swimming pool.
The newly redesigned AmaKatarina will be inaugurated on May 10, 2011, sailing on the Volga-Baltic waterway from St Petersburg to Moscow.
The AmaKatarina has been rebuilt from the hull up, and features outside balconies in over 70% of its staterooms. It also includes two dining rooms, a nightclub, lounge and solarium
