Amadeus Waterways Review

Its so relaxing and you really get caught up in the atmosphere and intoxicated with the scenery. I have been back a few weeks now, and I still enjoy every trip - I would go back in a heartbeat.

I flew to Budapest and spent two days and nights there and then embarked on a beautiful new five-star river cruise ship. I travelled north on the Danube to Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic. I was wined and dined every evening and during the day, then after a full buffet breakfast whisked off on tours of Budapest, Bratislava, Salzburg/Vienna, Regensburg, Nuremberg and other small charming country villages in between. I even ended my trip with three extra nights in Prague.

This river cruise has a little something for everyone. Passing through the locks is a fascinating feature and it entertained the entire ship. I even had a specialist come on board to give us a lecture on the years involved in erecting the locks system, which was very insightful and enjoyable.
