Cunard was the first company to make regular scheduled transatlantic crossings and can, therefore, claim to provide the first cruise service. Certainly its the name that evokes a sense of that golden age of ocean travel. Today, it maintains the reputation for providing the very best service and voyages and does so with the newest fleet at sea.
Queen Victoria joined the Cunard fleet in 2007 as the second largest Cunard ship (after Queen Mary 2) ever built. As you would expect, she matches the very qualities that gave Cunard its name, decorated in rich marbles and woods, plush fabrics and rugs and elegant furnishings.

Then there are the afternoon teas in the Queens Room, the Royal Court Theatre productions, Royal Arcade shopping opportunities and even a winter garden conservatory in which to unwind in the sunshine among greenery, without stepping outside.
At night, guests can chance their hand in the Empire Casino, enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail in the Chart Room, puff on cigars in Churchill’s Cigar Lounge, drink ales in the Golden Lion, dance away in the Hemispheres nightclub beneath a glass domed roof, catch a performance at the Royal Court Theatre, or enjoy a cup of tea in the Queens Room.
Guests are invited to enjoy the Cunard Royal Spa and Fitness Centre for massages, treatments and facials. Meanwhile the salon is open for pedicures, makeovers and, of course, hairstyling, including hair spa rituals developed by Kerastase.
Onboard Queen Victoria guests can enjoy a large range of enrichment and lecture opportunities. Lectures are given by leading experts and authors on anything from monarchy to modern art. Elsewhere a book club drives compelling discussions.
