Cruise line: Seabourn,
My immediate impression was of impeccable service from white gloved, uniformed staff waiting a the end of the red carpet to relieve the embarking guests of their coats and hand luggage and escort them up the walkway with pleasant conversation.
Walking around the ship, all the suites were very elegant and spacious, all with walk in wardrobe and bathroom with double basin, bath and shower.
All members of staff greeted me with courtesy and a smile. They have to be able to address every guest by name within 24hrs.
The décor was refreshingly calm, with mostly one-colour carpeting throughout the ship and not the garish multicolour of larger ships.
There were intimate entertainment venues, with entertainers being brought on board to cover a variety of styles e.g.: magicians, opera, local culture from the area visited. There are a variety of dining venues, including dining with a music party under the stars on deck
The canapés were beautifully presented by friendly waiters
I have been very reliably informed that the Caviar in the surf is not to be missed! Seabourn also offer shopping with the chef - to really experience first hand the quality of produce prepared for the evening meal-quite original.
