This was our first cruise and we were really delighted and impressed with the space, the ship's facilities and the service. Passengers were international though predominately senior citizens from the USA.

The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. Organisation and information was excellent. We would certainly sail Crystal again. We would not book at a table for 8 again - 6 is big enough. One couple who did not speak English and found themselves in a minority perhaps understandably opted out after the first meal leaving our large table short of two guests for the rest of the week and short of more those nights any of us dined away in the specialist restaurants. One elderly passenger was taken ill the first night and had to be put off the ship for hospital treatment the next morning. Serenity diverted to an unscheduled port to do this and sent one of its team of nurses ashore to stay with him as he did not speak the language. Full marks to Crystal for this which we felt above and beyond its duty. Altogether a first class week.
