VIKING RIVER CRUISES ORDERS SIX MORE RIVER BOATS

Viking River Cruises has today announced it is to build and launch a further six new river boats in 2013. The new luxury river cruise boats will be based on the new Viking Longships design and will join the Viking Freya, Viking Idun, Viking Njord, Viking Odin, to be christened on March 21, 2012 in Amsterdam, and Viking Embla and Viking Aegir, which will be launched later this year.

The Viking Longships feature

• Two Explorer Suites, which will be the largest river cruise suites in Europe at 445 sq feet, each featuring a separate living room, bedroom and private wraparound veranda, offering 270-degree views.
• Seven Veranda Suites with a full-size veranda in the living room and a French balcony in the bedroom.
• 39 Veranda Staterooms with full-size verandas.
• 22 French Balcony Staterooms.
