LUXURY TRAVEL FAIR 2011

We have just finished exhibiting for four-days at The Luxury Travel Fair at Olympia. I have to say that it was not as busy as it has been in previous years - maybe this is a result of the economy or just the media spouting doom and gloom all the time? However it did allow us more time to spend with visitors and to discuss their future cruise requirements, or just chat with them about their own cruising experience. Many of the guests were looking to move up from the mass-market cruise lines like P&O Cruises and Cunard on to something smaller and more exclusive, such as Regent Seven Seas Cruises or Silversea.

Top cruise destinations asked about were Alaska, Hawaii, and River cruises, which is very interesting as most British guests like to cruise the Mediterranean and Scandinavia - maybe these people have done that and are looking further afield now? Having cruised Alaska myself I can confirm it is one of those destinations best seen from sea, and of course we can add on the ever-popular Rocky Mountaineer train too, allowing you to see all that Alaska and the Canadian Rockies has to offer.

It was also wonderful to meet so many of our VIP's who attended and who gave us feedback on our services and emails - all positive I have to say so thank you to all who popped by.
