Great news this week - the Foreign Office here in the UK has amended its travel advice for Egypt - "We no longer advise against all but essential travel to Cairo (all four governorates, including Giza), Alexandria, and Suez. There are no restrictions in this travel advice on travel to Egypt."
This is such good news - many of our VIP's are keen to travel to Egypt and to experience a luxury Nile river cruise, and to see all the amazing sites, tombs and temples along the banks of the river and at the Valley of the Kings.
Cairo has always been a popular pre or post cruise stop for a few days and we are pleased to be able to offer this again, as you don't get to see the pyramids on a Nile cruise as they operate from Luxor to Aswan or vice versa, or round trip from Luxor. We are getting in some great offers on Sonesta Nile Cruises and of course the Oberoi Zahra, so check the website often of just send us an email with your request. Best time to travel is September to March/April as this is when it is coolest, however prices do come down during the peak summer months as it can get rather hot!
All Nile river cruises are re-commencing as of Feb 28 2011.
