DAY 6 CUNARD QUEEN MARY 2 BLOG

We again enjoyed breakfast in our cabin and I then went to the lecture about the story of the musical My Fair Lady. The lecturer was very well informed and had some very amusing stories to accompany his slides and films. I was pleased to see a large number of guests at this presentation.

As it was again a lovely sunny day onboard Queen Mary 2 I then went out to the poolside to relax and read berfore moving onto the Britannia Restaurant for lunch. I chose the Asian dishes today and they were very tasty.

In today's programme a request was made for guests who wished to take part in a talent show to attend for rehearsals at 10am. So at 5pm I went into the Queens Room to watch their performances. What a talented bunch they were, consisting of singers and poets.

Last formal night tonight. We went to the Commodore Club for cocktails and enjoyed listenting to the talented pianist. Tonight's formal theme was Ascot and it looked as if the hat making session was well attended! The Queens Room had been decorated in racing colours to enhance the theme and everyone had a good time.

After dinner we went to the musical show and really appreciated just how talented and professional the group of 15 Cunard singers and dancers are. It was one of the best shows I have seen at sea with excellent costumes. Feeling very tired after doing nothing all day I collected a hot chocolate from the buffet on my way to bed.
