CUNARD QUEEN ELIZABETH CRUISE BLOG DAY 9

Good Morning!

To finish off yesterday, I ended up having a Coke in McDonald's in Funchal before buying a couple of souvenirs before heading back to the ship. I also did end up at the youth club where we sat in the Lido for almost an hour chatting and nibbling on chocolate!

This morning the clocks advanced by one hour because tomorrow we are in the Spanish port of Vigo. I had pancakes and melon for breakfast in the Brittania Club restaurant before visiting the internet center where I was on facebook. Funnily enough, my friend Samantha who works in the Brittania Restaurant was online too! Even though she is only two decks below me in the crew area, she is not allowed to socialise with the guests however I may meet her ashore tomorrow!

After facebooking and tweeting... It was time to hit the Royal Arcade and buy some souvenirs including a cute little teddy bear!

Now I am sitting in the lido with a chicken salad (being healthy won't last!)

At 2pm I am again going on an exclusive tour of the ship and then will go to the Zone to play a game of scattegories!

Tonight is our last formal night (hundreds of cheers from people around me) and it is the Starlight Ball. There are rumours that Lobster and Beef Wellington are on the menu! (I don't like either of those)

Tonight is also the final show by the Queen Elizabeth Theatre Company called "La Danza" a Cuban, Latin American dance spectacular. I am looking forward to the show as long as I do not get called up on stage tonight!

Another thing, tonight is also Karaoke night in the Golden Lion Pub... Something I am NOT looking forward to in case I am dragged onto the stage again by the Youth Director Paul.

Sorry there is not much from me today but we are due for a bumpy ride and the satellite signal isn't working properly... I will be back tomorrow!
