CUNARD QUEEN ELIZABETH CRUISE BLOG DAY 7

Cunard Queen Elizabeth Cruise Blog Day 7

Good Afternoon!
Firstly to finish off last night at the show...
I was picked to go up on stage with the dancers!
It was hilarious and I loved every second of it.

Now back to today...
We are in the port of Las Palmas in Gran Canaria.
Breakfast was taken in the Lido and all the Easter Eggs and Bunnies on the display are being given to random guests. Luckily, I got a big white Easter Egg!

So then it was time to go ashore and explore...
Again I took one of the City Sightseeing tour buses around the city and then I went for a stroll through some of the main shopping streets.
I stopped off for a drink in a cafe before heading back to the ship.

The weather today has been a little hazy with high temperatures of 22 degrees.
Back on board, I headed up to the Lido for a spot of lunch. After lunch it was time to sit outside by the lido pool, deck 9, Aft, where I sat with a couple of cocktails relaxing in the sun for around 2 hours!

By then, I was quite sunburnt and I should really head back to my stateroom and get ready for dinner. Tonight's attire was elegant casual.

On a Cunard cruise, typically you have an evening dress code of either Formal, Semi Formal or Elegant Casual. I like the formal evenings, but if there are more than 3 or 4 then it gets a bit tedious having to wear a full suit, especially if it is really hot too!

The ships resident band "Nuvo" perform while we sail out of Puerto de la Luz and head out to sea towards Madeira.

Tomorrow morning, I am going on an organised shore excursion in Madeira to try and spot some Whales and Dolphins. We arrive in Funchal at 0900 and depart at 2230 so we have a full day and part of the evening in port.

Well tonight I am off to the zone to eat my huge Easter Egg with the rest of the youth staff and kids. I will probably end up going to the midnight buffet too and grabbing a few cookies.

So as I am sailing out of Gran Canaria and out to sea, see you soon!
