CUNARD QUEEN ELIZABETH CRUISE BLOG DAY 4

Good Afternoon All!

Well I can tell that I have been enjoying the cruise so far... I didn't wake up till 8am and I was supposed to be up at 6.30 to watch us sail under the 25th April Bridge here in Lisbon!
Today is Good Friday therefore most, if not all shops are closed... Much to the annoyance of my fellow passengers.

Again it was breakfast in the Lido where I had a yummy Hot Cross Bun! Then it was time to go ashore so I jumped on the shuttle bus with my parents to go into the city centre. However then came the torrential rain that has been going on and off all day long. As all the shops were closed, we walked around the central Lisbon before visiting the Hard Rock Cafe again. The last time I visited the HRC in Lisbon was in August aboard the Celebrity Eclipse. Funnily the staff remembered me and my family and I had a lovely snack.

It was then back to the ship. I headed up to deck 9 and had to sit in the Lido due to the Garden Lounge being full. So I ended up grabbing a slice of chocolate cake too at Afternoon Tea!

We set sail from the Alcantara Berth here in Lisbon a little bit later than 1700 and will spend tomorrow at sea crossing the Atlantic Ocean before arriving in Santa Cruz in Tenerife on Easter Sunday. Many passengers expect not many shops to be open again. But as we well know, the cruise lines plan these itinerary's years in advance.

Tonight was a semi formal night aboard and I dined in the Brittania Club Restaurant before visiting the youth club once again. I then went to the Golden Lion and attempted the quiz before retiring this evening.
