CELEBRITY SOLSTICE CRUISE BLOG DAY 2

Today I awoke shortly after 8am and after I got ready, my parents and I headed up to the Oceanview Cafe on board Celebrity Solstice for breakfast, which again was very good and there was an array of hot and cold options, fresh fruit and so much more. From our table by the window, we had a great view of sailing into Villefranche, Nice.

After breakfast, we headed into Villefranche via Tender, which was a very smooth crossing to the landing point located at the marina. We had visited both Nice and Monaco earlier this year, so we decided it may be best to just wander around the quaint town of Villefranche. We ended up walking only a short distance as it was very hot, stopped in a few bars for a drink and did a spot of shopping for finally giving into the heat and heading back to the ship for lunch.

For lunch, my parents and I dined again at the Oceanview Cafe, which was tasty, however I made sure to save room for Afternoon Tea.

It was then back to the outdoor pool area and to relax whilst lying on a sun lounger and listening to the live music. Once an hour or two passed, it was back to the stateroom to get ready for dinner.

Once I was ready, I decided to head up to the top deck to watch is sail, this was shortly after 8pm. It was a lovely, calm sail out of Villefranche harbour prior to increasing to full speed to reach Livorno in Italy for Florence and Pisa tomorrow.
