CELEBRITY SOLSTICE CRUISE BLOG DAY 10

Celebrity Solstice Cruise Blog Day 10

Today is a sea day and I ended up getting up fairly early around 0730, taking a stroll around the ship and then going to a presentation about the Construction of the Celebrity Solstice. This presentation, part of the Celebrity Life Activities was hosted by none other than Staff Captain Tasos and then followed with a Q&A with Captain Costas. The presentation was very interesting and I learned a lot of new facts about the Solstice, such as it is one of the most environmentally friendliest cruise ships to be built and that each "block" was built from the ceiling up, in other words upside down, so it was easier to install the electrical cables.

After the informative talk and very interesting question and answer session with the Captain, in which some guest decided to ask about the Stock Markets - no relevance to cruising whatsoever, nor did the Captain reply, but thats another story...I headed to the Grand Epernay Restaurant for the Brunch, which consisted of a number of delicious dishes available in a buffet style setting complemented with exquisite ice sculptures and chocolate fountains!

After lunch, I headed up to the pool deck to witness the Water Sports tournament before relaxing on a lounger. This evening is the final formal night aboard and to my knowledge, it is Baked Alaska night.
