2011 HOT CRUISE DESTINATIONS

2011 Hot Cruise destinations

We often get asked where are the next hot cruise destinations, well judging from our VIP's recent enquiries and bookings, the Eastern Mediterranean, Egypt and the Nile, Black Sea, and Scandinavia are all the top destinations for 2011.

The Eastern Mediterranean offers historic and biblical ports of call in Israel, Egypt, Turkey, Greece and opportunities to visit the Suez Canal too.

Egypt has always been popular but with the introduction of excellent quality Nile river cruise ships like the 5-star Oberoi Zahra and the Sonesta fleet - Nile river cruising is really becoming popular with those clients that want a sophisticated and quality Nile cruise and Egypt adventure.

The Black Sea offers wonderfully historic ports of call like Sevastopol, Yalta, Odessa and more - usually from a gateway city like Istanbul, which is perfect for a few days stay before or after your cruise.

Scandinavia is very accessible for guests from the UK and the rest of Europe - it's a short flight to either Copenhagen or Stockholm to embark your cruise ship, or just a days sailing from the UK. The rugged, dramatic coastline of Norway is beautiful and the historic Baltic Capitals provide a different cruise than the traditional Mediterranean ports - and it can be warm and sunny in the summer too - a fact a lot of people forget!

What do you think? Have you been to these areas or planning on going? Let us know!

Comment Polar Adventures will soon become a rareity and the habitat of wildlife is being rapidly destroyed through global warming, so time is running out to visit the wonders of the Antarctic and Artic polar areas – so this "cold" destination has to be at the top of the list for me.

Comment I think South America is a great cruising destination with the chance of travelling to the ends of the earth and discover Cape Horn, Antarctica and Ushuaia, the southern most town in the world. And why not check out UNESCO World Heritage sites like Machu Picchu, Iguazu and Quito. As wellas sites like Rio and the Panama Canal. Basically there is much to do, i reckon their should be a cruise voyage to encompasses all of these.
